John Smoltz is the Brett Favre of baseball
As a Braves fan my favorite player is John Smoltz. He reminds me of the Brett Favre of baseball. Maybe he wasn't the best pitcher on the Braves staff when it was Maddux and Glavine. If you were to put Maddux and Glavine on the Braves staff now John Smoltz would be the best pitcher. He's currently the only pitcher in Major League history to top both 200 wins and 150 saves. The only difference between John Smoltz and Brett Favre is that Brett Favre had more media attention and affected more than just his football fans. He affected all NFL fans. The same could be said about John Smoltz if you take the time to watch him pitch.

Nascar Is For Wusses
As a Nascar fan I want to see emotions. I want drama. It seems like Nascar is trying so hard to become this sport where the cars go around in circles and there's no wrecks or anything. I want them to bring it on. Let them race, let them collide, let them get mad, frustrated, and stop being wusses. I miss the old days of Nascar with Bobby Allison. Nascar is an emotional sport just like that dirt track in the local hometown where somebody spends their entire paycheck on their car and some young punk wrecks that car. Of course there's going to be a fist thrown.

My Bracket So Far....
The first thing I decided to do this morning when I woke up was to check my bracket. It almost felt like Christmas morning waking up and going to see what presents my picks might have made for me. Instead it has me wishing for a do over. I picked North Carolina beating Duke in the championship. I'm embarrassed for the decision because after last night against Belmont I doubt Duke will beat West Virginia. I had USC to make it to the final 8. It was my fault for thinking the Big 12 was over rated. As of today I'm 11-5. I picked Notre Dame, Kansas, UNLV, Wisconsin, Duke, Purdue, UCLA, Stanford, Marquette, Pittsburgh, and Michigan St. to win. My losing picks were Texas A&M, Georgia, Arizona, USC, Winthrop.
My decision to go with Georgia was stupid. I knew the gas would eventually run out on them but I was wanting that Cinderella story. Even though I had picked them getting beat by Xavier. Now I wish that maybe I picked Xavier to go just a lil bit further. Oh well here's to another day of college basketball. Gotta love March Madness.

Disagree With Mal Moore
I don't agree with Alabama's Athletic Director Mal Moore's decision to turn down an invitation to host a game in the inaugural College Basketball Invitational tournament. Alabama pays Mark Gottfried $1 million per year so what's the big deal about the $60,000 entry fee? It's not like the tournaments won't be on tv or nobody will be interested in it. I'll be sure to catch a game on Fox. The way Alabama's season was going I would care less if Alabama didn't go to any tournament but it's the way they ended their season on a good streak. It got me excited and wanting to see more. By beating Vanderbilt, Florida, and almost sneaking by Miss. St. I think it was a very bad move for Mal Moore to cut Alabama's season and it has got to hurt recruiting as well.
